KULIM GURUKULUM
Tara meets Kulim underprivileged children and decided to launch for them a Gurukulum.
It is an ambitious project to reach out to as many Primary 1, 2 & 3 children so that they develop firm academic grounding at the primary level itself and do not struggle when they move into Secondary School.
The Term GURU – means Teacher – KULUM – means Home – A gurukul or gurukulam is a type of education system in ancient India with shishya living near or with the guru, in the same house. The guru-shishya tradition is a sacred one in Hinduism and possibly appears in other dharmas in India, such as Jainism and Buddhism.
