TARA STUDENTS
BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING
TARA Foundation students are taken on a shopping spree to help them prepare as they enter a new academic year.
There are many benefits to learning martial arts, not the least of which are physical, mental, and spiritual in nature. From the physical improvements, to the enhancement of both your mental and spiritual well-being, martial arts paves the way for people to reach their peak potential. By instilling discipline in the martial arts arena, students learn to pay attention to the instructor and refrain from misbehaving. These good behaviors typically transfer to the school setting, where students often begin obtaining better grades as a result.
Our academic centres make it a point to bring students shopping, before they go back to school at the start of every academic year. During this time, students are equipped with school uniforms, shoes and socks, as well as stationery and school bags. Although some parents can afford getting these basic necessities for their children, they usually end up buying sub-standard items for their children, which either gets worn out early or spoils soon. Families end up spending more than required over a short period of time to provide for their children. Some families receive monetary support from the government to get school supplies, but parents struggling will alcohol abuse, or financially tight, end up using the money given to buy other necessities, and not for their children.
TARA provides school supplies, to reduce the burden of underprivileged families, giving them the space to use whatever they have extra, for the household. Providng students with school supplies not only prepares them to study, but also fills them with excitement to go to school and use their new gadgets.
