TARA FOUNDATION

YOGA CLASSES

TARA Foundation students do Yoga to attain a balanced life.

Yoga and mindfulness offers psychological benefits for children, such as an improved focus and memory, an elevated self-esteem and academic performance, better classroom behavior, and reduced anxiety and stress

A strong practice can help build muscle, dramatically boost metabolism, and improve circulation via deep breathing. Yoga improves children’s emotion regulation, by managing their anxiety, as well as boosting their confidence. It also increases children’s body awareness and mindfulness, and enhances their concentration and memory.

Students who have limited resources in life, usually struggle to do well in whichever path they take. The constant pressure they feel, to do many things at once, often leaves them not only at an average point in the things they did, but also leaves them at a point of a burnout. These students constantly see the need to compete with everyone and get a head-start in all things, that they barely give themselves time to recover from what was previously done, before moving on to the next task that needs to be done.

TARA Foundation has since collaborated with Malaysian Association of Yoga Instructors (MAYI), which supplies Yoga instructors to all our academic centres across the country. We realize that the only way to succeed in life, is to be focused on what needs to be done, and an excellent execution of said task. In order to do both, students need to be free of all worry and doubt, which is what we look to giving our students through Yoga.

We hope that by being actively involved with the Yoga classes provided, students are able to be more calm and attentive to detail when making important decisions. Having a peace of mind not only aids students in focusing on their studies, but it also helps them in having healthy relationships with those around them – giving them a well-balanced life.
